Safari, Transfer & Guest Conduct Policy
This policy applies to all guests participating in safaris, tours, transfers and related services with Mthunzi Tours and Safaris.
1. Guest Conduct
Guests must behave respectfully and responsibly at all times.
Guests must follow all instructions given by guides, drivers, park officials, lodge staff and authorised representatives.
Mthunzi Tours and Safaris reserves the right to refuse service, remove a guest from a tour or end a service early if a guest behaves in a dangerous, abusive, intoxicated, disruptive, illegal or disrespectful manner.
No refund will be due where a service is ended due to guest misconduct.
2. Wildlife and Park Rules
Guests must respect wildlife, nature and park regulations at all times.
Guests may not feed animals, touch animals, disturb wildlife, litter, climb out of vehicles in restricted areas or ignore guide instructions.
Wild animals are unpredictable. Guests must remain seated and follow safety instructions during sightings.
3. No Guaranteed Sightings
Mthunzi Tours and Safaris cannot guarantee specific wildlife sightings, animal behaviour, Big Five sightings or photographic opportunities.
Wildlife is viewed in a natural environment, and sightings depend on nature, weather, season, animal movement and park conditions.
4. Open Safari Vehicles and Closed Vehicles
Safaris may be conducted in open safari vehicles or closed air-conditioned vehicles depending on the service booked, age of children, weather, safety requirements and operational needs.
Children aged 3 years or younger may be required to travel in closed air-conditioned vehicles.
5. Pickup and Departure Times
Clients must be ready at the confirmed pickup location at the confirmed time.
Late arrival may result in missed departure, shortened tour time or cancellation without refund.
Pickup times may vary due to traffic, accommodation collection routes, roadworks, park gates, flight delays or other operational factors.
6. Transfers and Airport Services
Clients are responsible for providing correct flight details, pickup locations, drop-off locations, contact numbers and travel dates.
Mthunzi Tours and Safaris is not responsible for missed flights caused by incorrect flight information, late guest arrival, traffic delays, road closures, weather, immigration delays, baggage delays or circumstances outside our control.
Where guests are using a shuttle and flying out on the last day, they should not book flights departing too early. Guests flying from O.R. Tambo International Airport should allow sufficient time for travel and check-in.
7. Luggage
A luggage restriction of 20kg per person and one small piece of hand luggage may apply to certain shuttle or transfer services.
Additional luggage, oversized items, prams, camera equipment, golf bags or special items must be disclosed before booking.
Mthunzi Tours and Safaris may not be able to accommodate undisclosed excess luggage.
8. Routes and Operational Changes
Routes, pickup times, vehicles, guides and service providers may change due to operational requirements, weather, road conditions, safety concerns, supplier availability, park rules or circumstances beyond our control.
Mthunzi Tours and Safaris will make reasonable efforts to provide a service of similar standard where changes are necessary.
